Born and raised in Jakarta, I graduated from University of Technology Sydney and is equipped with graphic design skills. Currently as a language school student in Japan, I transcend my passion for travel and fashion into an online publication since I started writing as a Tokyo based contributor for acclaimed online magazine HYPEBEAST.com .
After 1 year and 4 months in Japan. On Monday, February 1, 2012 marks a significant date because I started counting down the two remaining months of my visa. With less then 60 days left, I am prepared to leave this inspiring metropolis and I felt that a blog will be a good retreat to leave a mark on both my physical and mental experiences that I have gained here in Tokyo.
Japan’s is globally known for both its culture and technology, places like Shibuya or Harajuku will always amaze travelers with its exceptional visuals. However throughout this very enlightening one and a half year, I have stayed away from the travel books and experienced first hand all the mind-blowing retail spaces, aesthetically pleasing designs while meeting Japan’s best-dressed men and women for a lesson or two on style.
Through this voyage, I got glimpses of a whole world of subcultures, travel destinations and social hubs in its own right where people can spend an afternoon browsing through their iPads, drink coffee and escape the confines of this fast city. A year strolling around the streets of Tokyo is still not enough for me to discover all the wonders this city offers. Through this blog aim to bring Japan’s lifestyle landscape to the comfort of your fingers. Through my personal touch and view, I hope this blog could help you find your new global groove.
